Guitar case????????????

I just got a guitar and i don't have a case for it. Should i have one or is it no big deal? im planning on taking lessons. will i look like a moron if i walk into my first lesson with just a guitar and no case?

Gig bags are a good choice if you're just carrying it to lessons and back. They're cheaper than a hard case and they usually have straps so you can sling it over your back and have your hands free (just don't bang it on stuff). If you get an expensive
